Lake Megami is a lake located in Tateshina-cho Kitasaku-gun Nagano-ken. An artificial lake constructed for agricultural purposes, it is also known as Akanuma reservoir. A development to make it into a resort site is also underway. The government in Edo era forbidden staying in inns other than authorized inns, rendering Shimodai village one without inns for staying overnight but just with "Manoyado", a place for taking rest. Inn city reminiscent of old days with old clay warehouses off the national road. Two old wineries (for sake) are there: Osawa-Shuzo Takeshige-main house-Shuzo.
