Yashimagahara wetland is a high-rise wetland situated about 1,630 m high. It is said that it has taken about 12,000 years for it to become the present state. In summer season, 400 kinds of flowers bloom to entertain visitors; you can see grassland birds other than those. A 2-minute walk from Yashima wetland parking will take you to the opening (so-called) where you can get a full view of the wetland, a spot even physically weak people can easily enjoy beautiful landscapes.
