Kyoto university of art and design, Koyodo museum
Koyodo museum standing in the forest of about 20,000 ㎡ is opened as a personal museum of Mr. Koro Satori, the former chairman of Satori electronics in Jul 2001 in Chino-shi Nagano-ken, at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake full of green. After the sudden death of his, Kyoto university of art and design inherited its operaion and received Mr. Hiroshi Senjyu, a worldly-reputed Japanese painting drawer, to be reopened as the annexed museum in Apr 2006. Centered around works of Mr. Tatsuo Takayama, Japanese painting drawer, about 370 works of modern /contemporary Japanese painting, oil / water painting are being collected with 4 collection exhibitions to be opened yearly (look here for main collections).
