Shiozawazeki was also chosen as one of the best 100 local waters in Japan. It calmly brings super-soft spring water to the edge of Tateshina-cho, being the tranquil healing space meandering through within Tadeshina Shirakaba highland. Constructed by Rokukawacho (first mayor) Saburo Katstuie , about 55 km long, being the foundation for the formation of rural farm villages with abundant nature in Tateshina or Sakuasaka.
