Tourist information
Delta of River Yokokawa (swan)
The first swans that flew over to Lake Suwa were 4 Ohakucho (big swans) in 1960, later leading to the fixture of flying over starting with Kohakusho (small swans) in 1974, with the number increased up until now. Back then the number coming over was single-digit, but as Japan swan organization has fed them for them to learn the place is the final resting place for them, with the number further increased to 100 by Japan wild bird organization at the tenth year, with Lake Suwa now recognized as "Lake of swan". You may also watch Mt. Fuji on a fine day.
