Kazeyokenomatsu (pine tree for avoiding wind)
Kazeyokenomatsu, seen from around Mt. Yatsugatake Eco line, the first tree designated as the most important tree for landscape based on a local law concerning developing landscapes / cities in Chino-shi, being given the first prize for civilian voting for the best 100 homland landscapes for tree / flower award; and the fourth for the comprehensive. It was the forest to prevent wind, with 57 red pines over 650 m from east to west, made to safeguard rice paddles from the wind disasters in Edo era about 300 yeas ago, still protecting them. Over it you can view Mt. Tadeshina, with Mt. Yatsugatake right-hand side, Southern Alpines when looking back, the grand view. With guiding placards and parking space.
